Well, I have been extremely busy..... very bad blogger, I know..... Please forgive me?

We have had a lot of plan changes over the last few mounths, but we will still be sailing later in this year! We are hard at work to get the other yacht into ship-shape condition...... So that is the main reason for me not blogging everyday.

We are still very much alive and kicking, hard busy home-schooling and going to-and-fro between land-home and water-home!

Houtbay is our main base at the moment with us only touching ground briefly at home for me to do the washing and so on..... The weather is fast changing and we can really feel it on the water. The mornings are nippy and the evenings are also getting cooler!

I will try and make another blog-writing later in this week....... So, until then.... enjoy your day!

I am so behind on blogging........ We have beem extremely busy the last 2 months.... But here are a few collages of some of the things we have done! Here we are having some fun in Houtbay....

This is our home away from home. She will be carrying us over vast amounts of open and unspoiled waters! We are busy with all the last pieces of work and then the big stock-up will take place! She is very sturdy and safe and I have been in realy wild waters, winds and swells with her........

She has got (almost) all of the equipment that we need, both safety and everyday use. We don't need Eskom, Telkom or the Munisipality when we are there! The worst is coming back from a week of working and living on the boat, to a house that has either no electricity or water.......

This is what really calm waters look like..... This was taken on the 2cnd of Jan 2010 at just after 5 in themorning... Blissfull I tell ya! But........ do not be fooled!

This was taken on the 8th of Jan 2010, and you can't see the half of how the waters actually looked. You cannot capture the swells or the motion on pics........

BUT..... I am safe on her..... And I totally trust in my dear husbands ability to keep us safe and unharmed by the huge big ocean out there..... I will keep you guys up to date as the departure date is slowly but surely kreeping up on us! It is a huge step in our lives and I don't know if all will go according to plan, but it is a lifestyle change that we really want to embrace! So....... Until later gals!!!!!!

Yup, this post is vert long overdue!!!!! I am very sorry..... Things are a little hectic at the moment! It was my birthday on the 9th of October and I had a little get-together on the 7th. It was a very cold day compared to the day before (27degrees)! I invited a couple of my friends that I like and like spending time with! I had it at the RCYC as that is were our yacht is. We all had heaps of fun and lots of laughter!!!! There were talks of Brazillian blow-dries and that's as far I will venture on everything that was said!!!!! I got lots of awesome pressies and I just want to thank ALL of you that was there!!!! Mel we realy missed you, you would have had loads of fun!

It is a very sad day. My father has sadly past away this morning. Thanks for all the prayers.

He past away softly, and is at a much better place. He was my hero, always there when I needed him. Comforting me when I was sad, loving me, no matter what. I will sadly miss him, my heart is breaking into a million pieces.

How will my Mother get through this???? Sometimes I find life so unfair.... There are so many out there who deserve to die, but people who are near and dear to you end up being taken away.

Everything feels so unreal.

I am still here, I promise...... It is sooooooo cold that my feet are freezing and I can't stop eating and drinking numorous amounts of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cuppuchino's!!!!! Needless to say that winter is NOT my cup of tea. My little one asked me this morning when it will be summer again???? She really is a summer child, although she was born on a ice cold, rainy day in May!!!!!! I am having some nice homemade soup and home baked fresh bread tonight..... Mmmmmm sounds so nice, and as you can see, I lurve comfort food..... See ya soon......... (stay warm)

Well, I am still living..... Have faught lurgy upon lurgy attacks! But, we are all fine now. I came across this pic in my 8th folder (8th pic). It was taken on the Valentines weekend of 2009. It is me and my hubby in the lagoon(river) in Velddrif. We went camping with friends and it was all in all a very nice weekend! Eccept for the fact that there were thorns everywhere and the wind came up the Sunday and nearly blew out *tent* away!!!!! I am a few kg lighter now, happy to say so, but still a few to go! Hope everyone is fine and enjoying the weekend. It is rather cold(read freezing) in Cape Town!!!!!!!

Tonight at 11:12PM my baby girl was born, nd I can't believe that 11 years have gone past!!!!!

She has grown up to be a lovely and cheerfull young woman...... And I cry, cause I miss her oh so tiny baby body!!! She only weighed 1,5 kg's, but was a tall little thing. The first time I held her in my arms was *magic*, she took my breath away!

But, the little lady she has grown into is also so nice. We shop together, cook together ( more like she messes and I clean). I am proud of who she is at this moment and thanks God every single day for her. I love her with every breath I have.

She had a party Saturday afternoon, at Tyger Valley centre, bowling with 3 friends. It went well and they really enjoyed themselves! I baked cake on Friday and iced it on Saturday morning.... ( Nothing as awesome as Yummy Mummy's!!!!) But she could choose and she wanted me to bake the cake.

Hi guys..... Sorry for not blogging fr so long. We have been away and I had been bitten by something....... I think it was a spider of some sort, but can't really be certain. Was down for 4 days with the most awfull fevers and shivers.... But I am getting better now.

I can not believe that we are nearly finished with another month of 2010 already..... It just keeps whirring past me! I can't believe that is Easter weekend again, and to my shock school hols also.... I did not know it was breaking up time for the schools until yesterday when I step foot in the shops for the first time in a while..... As my one is homeschooled I don't know the schoolcalender anymore.

What areyou guys doing with your kiddies for the holidays? I will be taking my one to the 'Science Centre' in Canal Walk Shopping Mall. She absolutely loves it there!!!!!!! Just have to brave all the thousands of other holiday makers........

Oh yes, the top pic is of my daughter with a Australian friend, Jack. They are in Cape Town at the moment En Route to Rio. We met his parents about 4 weeks ago and the 2 of them have been inseperable!!!!!! But sadly they will be leaving next week and the emotions are high already!!!!!!

Yup, I'm stocking up again, leaving on Friday morning early...... Just for the weekend though. Wish it was for longer...... I'm very fortunate and blessed (as Shane said) to be living the life I have at this moment!!!!!! It is wonderful to leave everything behind and just set sail. Sometimes I try to pinch myself to really make sure that I am living the way I am.....

I do not have a very romantic husband (not at all), but I know that I am blessed to be with him every single day!!!! We spend everyday together now that our son is running the business, and sometimes it can be overwhelming, but I would not change it for ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD!!!!

I am happy each and everyday to be sharing it with him, and Love him with everything single fibre in my body.... OK, enough I hear you say????? I have no pics to share of Valentines day, simply because we were actually working our hinies off!!!!!

When we got to the boat on Friday midday, this is what the clouds looked like between TableMountain and Leeukop. It is the first time that I saw clouds looking like waves..... I am still going back and forth between the boat and the house, working hard at both. Sorry for posting very irregular, but I am reading all of your blogs, I promise!!!!!!! Well, we have been back about 2 weeks I think...... It is very hard settling back into everything!!!! I am planning to give you a day-for-day about what our holiday was like...... I'm just trying to find TIME to do so.....

At least I changed my header..... It is a pic of the morning(2cnd Jan 2010) that we left RCYC in Cape Town harbour. It was a clear windstill morning..... That would not be the same conditions that we came into the harbour again on the 8th!!!!!!

We had fun times and also nerve-racking times..... Thanks to some Rescue Remedy Drops (ok, a whole bottle) we made it back....

I know what it feels like to be in a washing machine...... don't laugh..... the ocean really gets 'confused' at times and compared with nearly 6m swells and about 50 knots of wind, it's not a pretty site!!!!!!

Well, I have to be off to do the housework........ Man, how I miss the comfort of our yacht!!!!!

We are back on land for a brief stop (washing, re-stocking the food stores, etc.). Have been on board for 2 weeks. I'm busy wrapping up pressies and sorting everything for our West Coast Cruise.

Well, well, well? Me thinks I'm on the naughty list for not blogging so regularly...... Will you guys please forgive me??????

It has been chaos getting everything ready for our trip the end of December..... Much more work than we have thought!!!!!

We have been grinding and painting and sewing new curtains for the galley, saloon and cabins.... New matress for our bed in the aft-cabin, and so the list goes on.... I won't bore you with the details! But I have slowly but surely discovered something..... When I am on the yacht, I am more laidback and at peace, and as soon as we have to lock up I start to feel depressed..... I don't even want to come home!!!

We have got a new routine now, we go to the yacht on Thursdays and come back on Mondays.... Don't that sound like a wonderful loooong weekend? But now we are only going on Friday night this week and already I am starting to get irritated at home...... Maybe my body is trying to tell me something????

On the scrapbooking front, I am starting a December Daily as I think everybody is doing on the moment? But I am taking pics at the moment and will start with the actual album this weekend I hope. I forget to take pics even tho I have my camera with me 24/7!!!!

I am still reading all of your blogs in the meentime, so I am always here just don't have anything to say except that we are working on stuff the whole time.....

I am a total summer person…… When, I ask you, are we going to have one full week of summer??????? I am fed-up with summer then winter and summer again all in one week…..

I am looking forward to swimming again, 'cause that is my favourite excersize. And long lazy mornings next to the pool….. Nice to be a SAHM hey??????

As you might have picked up, I have started blogging out of my Word program and not from Picasa my photo program any more….. So much nicer….. I can do so much more now. I am learning so much everyday, See I am a slow learner. I like to keep on doing things the same way 'cause I know it works that way… Well I have been learning to think out of the framework lately…..

Well, I am still alive..... Going away for the loooooong weekend. We will leave in about an hour or so. I can't wait to get to the yacht, it is so peacefull on the water!!!!! It has been very long since I last posted, but I have been extremely sick and busy...... But I am back and will "see" u guys again ons Sunday evening or Monday...... With hopefully some nice pics. While me and my hubby were busy working on the boat this weekend our youngest one was blissfully trying to catch fish...... She actually did catch one, but it was very small..... She named it Jetti..... Well, we had to put it back in the water later and she was almost crying because.....'how is he going to get back to his friends??' They grow up so fast and before we know it, they don't want to play in the water anymore or swim right there in the slipway like she also did that morning...... The water was FREEZING I tell you, but she had the time of her life....... Well, just wanted to share a (I think) awesome pic...... Lotsa Blessings!!!!!

We finally finished her on Sunday...... Sheez, we really worked our backsides off...... But she is in te water and now we can begin with other stuff inside...

Do you think they were working hard???? We tried everything to get that shaft in, but at the end resorted to old fashioned aggression!!!!!! Good to get the blood flowing..... But, I hit my right thumb inbetween that big wooden batton and the steel rudder at the back!!!!! Not fun I might add..... I nearly fainted, my thumb is black and blue today and difficult to do the normal housework..... (WINK-WINK)

This is what our hands looked like after we actually washed them...... I still have blue paint under my nails that not even thinners or acetone will take off!!! I can have some breather now she is in the water, only until we start with the other bits and bobs that need to be done still. Well, we were working ALOT this weekend.... Actually since Thursday when she was hauled out for a bit of TLC.

As you can see, she actually needs ALOT of TLC. This is her, in all her big splendour as seen from the front.

You can see how huge she is, that is my hubby at the right of the pic and he is over 6ft!!!!!!!

I tell ya, my back was breaking by Saturday afternoon from all the grinding and cleaning.....

DEPARTURE DATE

Our date of departure on on our sailing adventure has been delayed until December 2010!!!! On the one side it is very nice but on the other hand also very frustrating!!!! I have to change my whole mindset now. But, we will be sailing in a big fleet...... So, much better for safety..... And we are no longer going around the 'wrong' side.... We will be leaving with the St Helena race and from there we will be stopping in places like Brazil, Venuazela, the Med.......... Well, lots of more time for scrapping and kuiering with all my buds........

Well, what a stunning day we had!!!!! We went to our boat yesterday afternoon..... The little one had a sleep-over at a friend, so we had a nice quality-time two days....... had a lazy Saturday doing some scrapping, and then we had a nice supper on our yacht. Invited our friend Paul over from Lila (his yacht's name) and had some nice laughs and a very good homemade soup and homebaked bread (wich I preparred at home Saturday morning). It is always great having nice company!!!! Had a wonderful LATE lay-in this morning(if you know what I mean...). Did some work around the yacht and came home. I always have BIG-TIME Blues when we have to come home..... When I step onto the yacht it is like everything just falls away.... I breath better..... I relax and can just BE!!!!! I realy can't wait to start on our journey.... In many ways it is going to be a journey of seeing lots of places and experiencing so many new stuff, but in the same breath also a journey of finding yourself and discovering what you are actually capable of....... Hi there!!!!! I have been down a bit the last few days, that's why I have not come around to blog alot. Went to Stef's on her birthday (very nice with LOTS of sweet stuff). Went to have a nice scrappy morning on Wednesday with a few friends at Stef's house..... Had lots of laughs!!!!!! Finished my layout of the nice mother-daughter pics..... Started a new one of friends...... Going to plant myself infront of my table and go on with that, and start my soup..... Also planning to go to the yacht later today, just hope the weather holds..... Well, this weekend that past was my FIL's 80th birthday. We all went to Moorreesburg for a bit Family get-together. My SIL's daughter that is visiting from London wanted to take some pics of me and my little one.

Well, I am still living..... My girly is muuuuuch better! So I can breath again, and also sleep again. I was in desperate need of some ME time, so my dear Husband loaded my car with my scrapping goodies this morning and ORDERD me to go and relax. So off I (and my girly) went to our local scrapping store, Scrapping Citation. Man, it was a madhouse there today, it was BUSY!!!!!! But I did enjoy my day. Only left when the shopdoors were locked!!!!! I have not been tagged for the MEME but will do it because I like it.... Will get around to that when I have a little more time. I had a very busy week and I really enjoyed this awesome (summer) winter holidays...... I cannot remember when last a July winter holiday was so nice.... I hope the weather is just as nice this coming week, because I want to do a few outdoorsy stuff with my girly.... Well, I'm off to give my Hubby some TLC with the L being the biggest need..... :-) Lotsa Blessings........

Yes, my little one is sick. Had her at the doc this morning, Tonsolitis....... Well, she is miserable and does not want to swallow....... So like Mel said, when my children are sick, I worry... It is nice to look while your dad is doing all the hard work.......

This is me and my friend having a ball at the day...... It was freezing cold and raining most of the day!!! But we had a very nice time. We did a double layout about Family as well as a clock. We had very nice food to eat, as well as nice sweets and juice and coffee the whole day long!!!! Sorry that I have been absent for a while, but it has been very much like a madhouse at my side....... My son is in Matric this year, and boy, just keeping up with eveything for him is a mad enough!!!!! Then he is busy with driving lessons for his car as well.... Do I need to say any more????? This is the bear she wanted..... It glows in the dark when you push the paw. I had a realy hard time trying to hide this bear seen as she is with me ALL the time. Glow-e has been driving around in the boot of my car for a week now......

Sorry for not blogging for so long...... Have been very busy sorting out my WHOLE house....... Yes, I am... As we will be moving to our yacht at the end of the year, I have to know what has to go into storidge and what not. Now, I have to tell you, I do have a HUGE problem..... My hubby build me a 6x8m wendyhouse for all my craft goodies. So please tell me, what do I take with and what do I leave behind???????? I use ALL my scrapbooking stuff, so how do I convince my dearest that I HAVE to take all of that?????? I will post some nice pics later.... My youngest is having her birthday party tommorrow...... Well, as you can see, it was an ABSOULUTELY awesome day!!!!!! Our classes was wonderfull and the goodies even better!!!!!! But, Tim Holtz is an AWESOME artist. Man, he is so at ease with using different types of medium!!!! And loves to get his Grunge on...... He is a very funny, down to earth type of guy. He had us in stitches with his humour!!!! Jaimee from MM is just as nice and made sure that we knew she is VERY pregnant with her first little girl. She has boys already and is very happy about the babygirl!!!!!! Her classes too was very nice and intersting to know what you can do with packaging that you would normally through away....... I will take pics later of the projects that we made and also all the nice goodies that we got in the goodie bag!!!!!!

Well, it's been a while, but I'm back. Got a little scrapping done as well. Just have to do the journaling now........ It's been wild and adventurous this side, had a accident on the 7th! Everyone is ok though. In November last year, my hubby had a accident with my Golf!!!! Well. needless to say, the guys that caused the accident had wrong numberplates and wrong phone numbers(???????). So, no compensation what so ever. We had the Golf fixed ourselves and I got it back on Friday. So nice to have her back!! Hope you like my layout??????

Well I'm still here, sassing out how to work my blog.... Oh how nice to have a lay-in this morning!! Until 7 that is.... See my hubby works from home, so our mornings start at 5 normally. But I had the morning off (so to speak) and coold sleep a bit later!!!! Yay me!!! I am a homeschooling mom, so we have lots of lazy mornings, especially in the winter!!!
